Recycling Reduces E-Waste
E-Waste is a huge problem both economically and environmentally. MyTown Computer Service is doing our part to reduce the impact of e-waste in our community by accepting all forms of electronics for recycling. If you plug it in, we can make sure it gets recycled properly so it isn’t a burden for future generations.
We offer FREE recycling with only a couple of minor exceptions.
Exception Number One: CRT or ‘Tube’ TV’s and Monitors. The cathode ray tube in old televisions and monitors are extremely expensive to dispose of. We can accept them, but there is a cost associated with it. Costs range from $30 to $150 depending on the size and weight of the TV or monitor.
Exception Number Two: Every storage device that comes through recycling is deleted using a Department of Defense approved deletion algorithm. Some devices have more sensitive information than others, and some companies have strict protocols when it comes to data management and destruction. If you or your company needs a certificate that proves the deletion of a storage device, we can provide it for $25 per device.
